Born in 1961 in Brielle, Netherlands. First professional activity was teacher and director of a primary school. After six years I gave up working in education and studied fashion design and illustration at the Academy of Arts Minerva in Groningen, Netherlands. Following five years of studying and gaining my diploma, I spent several years in different African countries where I worked as a teacher. It was during my time in Africa that I started to work intensively at drawing and photography.

Now I have my studio in the south of France.
